Mech-Elec Building Services is pleased to announce the successful completion of a pre-start site meeting today in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottingham, ahead of a new and technically unique project commencing this week.
We’ve been tasked with constructing a suspended primary support structure at 8 metres from finished floor level (FFL) — a challenging yet exciting scope of works that reflects our engineering capability and attention to detail.
At the heart of the installation is a bespoke Unistrut 1200 x 1200mm grid system, suspended down to 5 metres FFL. This precision-built structure is designed to support all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, ensuring future installations are efficient, safe, and compliant.
Project Highlights:
📍 Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottingham
🗓️ Works Commencing: This week
🛠️ Scope: Installation of a suspended Unistrut support system
📏 Grid size: 1200 x 1200mm, suspended down to 5m from FFL
⚙️ Purpose: To carry all MEP services overhead
This is a standout project for Mech-Elec, combining technical complexity with practical delivery — and we're proud to be trusted with it.
